I am a Selfish Muslim

I care only about myself ie, what I eat, how I dress, what car I own etc. I don't care much about the state of poor Muslims, either in their own country or all over the world, as long as I am getting the money, I am satisfied. I know that there are poor Muslims who are suffering because of injustice done to them by "so-called" muslim rulers, yet I act as if nothing is wrong, because, I am earning a good living under the same ruler, so all must be well!! I don't just NOT stand up for the poor, but don't like to even discuss the matter, because after all, I am SELFISH.

What I don't know is that something similar might happen to me someday, someday I might become poor & suffer the injustice & then when I see other "SELFISH" Muslims not caring for me or even defending me or showing concern for me, then ONLY I will feel what those poor Muslims are going through .It is sad, that I have to face injustice and become poor in order to feel for the oppressed and poor!!! so much for Islamic unity and brotherhood.

May Allah guide us to the right path.==========================================================================

Whats even more tragic is that some of SELFISH Muslims actually think they are religious and pious!!!! They are living a delusion.

Rasul(saw) giving an example of Muslim-unity is reported to have said in a Hadith:

“The Muslim Ummah is like one body. If the eye is in pain then the whole body is in pain and if the head is in pain then the whole body is in pain”
